ABOUT THE DESIGNS
The designs are Adinkra symbols from Ghana that represent concepts or aphorisms. These are the foundation of the graphical style of the BBG event. Adinkra are used extensively in fabrics, logos and pottery and are usually incorporated into walls and other architectural features. Below is a little bit of background into the meaning of each of the symbols.
Wisdom.
Nyansapo or "Wisdom knot" represents wisdom, ingenuity, intelligence and patience. An especially revered symbol of the Akan, this symbol conveys the idea that, "a wise person has the capacity to choose the best means to attain a goal."
