ABOUT THE DESIGNS
The designs are Adinkra symbols from Ghana that represent concepts or aphorisms. These are the foundation of the graphical style of the BBG event. Adinkra are used extensively in fabrics, logos and pottery and are usually incorporated into walls and other architectural features. Below is a little bit of background into the meaning of each of the symbols.

Knowledge.

Nea Onnim is a symbol of knowledge, life-long education and the continued quest for knowledge. It literally means "He who does not know can know from learning."
