ABOUT THE DESIGNS
The designs are Adinkra symbols from Ghana that represent concepts or aphorisms. These are the foundation of the graphical style of the BBG event. Adinkra are used extensively in fabrics, logos and pottery and are usually incorporated into walls and other architectural features. Below is a little bit of background into the meaning of each of the symbols.
Excellence.
Nsaa is a type of woven cloth. It is a symbol of excellence, genuineness and authenticity: from the Akan proverb "Nea onnim nsaa na oto n'ago," "he who does not know quality nsaa will buy the fakes."
